The Bryants 2022 Year in Review: More Growth, More Wins, and More Self-Investment

Okay, we know we say this year practically every new year, but… can you believe how fast 2022 flew by?!

So many projects, new and old clients, and exciting opportunities were jam-packed into this past year, and we want to pause for a minute to commemorate it all! A lot happened, and we’re incredibly grateful to be able to reflect on it now.

So with that said, let’s jump right into the roundup, shall we? Behold, our 2022 year in review:

Another One with Meet the Bryants

We had another killer year filled with crushing our business goals — including ones we didn’t even know we had!

  • Any H-E-B lovers out there? This year we had the absolute pleasure of shooting headshots for team members at everyone’s favorite grocery store, and hands down, this is a project that we’ll never forget. What’s even better is that it isn’t over yet, turning this collaboration into one of our favorite kinds: a continuous one!

  • This is a big one — We had the incredible opportunity to shoot a magazine cover for a prestigious statewide publication. While we can't share specific details due to contractual agreements, we had the privilege of collaborating with talented Texans to bring this project to life. It was an amazing experience that we're thrilled to have been a part of!

  • Last year, we saw our names in print thanks to this feature in an article about the best things to do in San Antonio. Does this make us celebs now? Hehe.

  • We won Best Portrait Photographer in San Antonio for this FIFTH year in a row on Expertise.com!!! FIFTH YEAR IN A ROW! As two people who have tons of love for our city, we are so incredibly grateful for this recognition and we look forward to providing our photography services in San Antonio for years to come!

  • We got to kick off the new year with a feature story about ourselves and our business in VoyageSanAntonio, which was a huge honor, to say the least.

As far as our personal business goals go, moves were made in 2022, and we’re proud of them all!

  • We’re invested in ourselves and got our very own branding shoot done with the incredible Josh Huskin! If you take one look at his work, you’ll see why we’re so excited to share this content in the near future ;)

  • Have you peeped our new logo yet? We’re always shaking things up around here, and with new heights means we needed a new logo to match! Check it out on our homepage here: meetthebryants.com!

  • We started working on a project that’s close to home for us. It’s a cancer portrait series, and we will have more information coming on this in the future!

  • Continuing the investing in ourselves train… we invested in some new backdrops and equipment in 2022, and that’s always a win in our book. In addition to that, we took a leap that felt sort of scary but mostly exciting, and that was hiring a business coach! We always want to improve our business, and taking this step will just help us provide YOU with an even better service!

  • We’re cooking up some new offerings for our clients this year, and lucky for us, we think we’ve found the perfect stylist to help level up our client experience! Check out her (very fashionable) Instagram here

  • Meeting clients who come ready with fresh and exciting ideas is always a steady goal of ours, and this year, you all showed up and showed OUT! See for yourself!

Annnnnd, since there’s more to us than just work, here’s a glimpse into what life really looked like for us in 2022:

  • We survived the year with two healthy kids under 3. Can we get an amen for that, anyone?

  • Baby Jason turned one and started walking! Or should we say, he’s started doing LOTS of parkour lol. What’s next? Driving?!

  • Curious about Jasale? Well, as of today, at least, she has her heart set on being a doctor/veterinarian/photographer (yes, in that order!) when she grows up, and we fully support her big dreams!

  • We continued to step up our self-care game by doing therapy, getting more massages, and trying out meditating (big shout out to the Calm app, we thank you!).

  • Jason was still very much involved in the sneaker community as his sneaker collection continues to grow lol, and Alejandra focused on building community for herself in 2022.

  • We bought a FujiFilm EX-4 as a personal camera so that we can start documenting our family’s lives more for the memories! Because why not? It’s very important to us as professional photographers that we create boundaries for ourselves that extend to our creativity, and while we might not be photographers 24/7, we are full-time parents who still want to capture our babies on camera!

So what’s up next?

Honestly, our plans are to continue on this path that we’re currently on and to keep on investing in ourselves so that we can show up the best as photographers — and humans!

From more self-care to more high-quality tech, our 2023 goal is to keep on providing a better and more elevated experience for our clients, aka YOU! And we know that even with all the strides we’ve made, we still have so much more ground ahead of us to cover.

So… we hope you’ll stick with us for the ride! Here’s to a happy and safe 2023!

STILL NEED HELP DECIDING?

WE CAN HELP WITH THAT!
